Outreach
Activities
NH WRRC works in partnership with:
local watershed organizations
- Maintain correspondence with the Lamprey
River Advisory Committee (LRAC) and
the Lamprey River Watershed
Association (LRWA) on current Lamprey
River research
- Provided an assessment of Oyster River volunteer monitoring
data collected during 2001, 2002 and 2003 to the Oyster
River Watershed Association (ORWA)
- Provided an assessment of Ossippee River volunteer monitoring
data collected during 2002 to the Green
Mountain Conservation Group (GMCG)
- Gave a presentation on water quality in the Ossippee River
during 2002 to conservation commission members from the 6 towns
within the Ossipee watershed, town selectmen, the Saco River
Conservation Commission (SRCC), water testing volunteers and
other interested participants during February of 2003.
- Reviewed 2003 reports prepared by GMCG on Ossippee water
quality data
- Gave a presentation on Nitrogen Dynamics in the Lamprey River
watershed at the " Water
Resources in the Northeast: Science and Policy" conference
on December 5, 2003

local homeowners and school groups
- Four homeowners and 5th graders from H. W. Moore Elementary
School serve as volunteers to collect precipitation data throughout
the Lamprey watershed; October 2003 until present
- Gave a presentation on Lamprey River research activities
to the "Introduction to Soil Science" class at UNH March
24, 2004
