This map shows average stream water nitrate (NO₃-N) concentrations (mg L^-1) at sampling locations in the Lamprey River watershed. For the main Lamprey site located at the USGS gaging station at Packers Falls near Newmarket, NH, samples have been collected on a weekly and storm event basis since September 1999 (click on the red dot on far right of map to retrieve data). At the other sites, samples were collected at weekly to monthly frequencies varying in duration from one to four years. All samples were analyzed for nitrate by either automated colorimetric analysis or ion chromatography.
